Evolution of Spirituality ? |

Some argue, that a belief in God, or existing beings that cannot be ‘seen', and the way in which humans can readily accept such thought, without physical evidence can be explained in evolutionary terms. It would seem that God and evolution are opposing perspectives in non-agreement, but some authors explain that the acceptance and belief of a being that cannot be seen, in human cognition comes from an evolutionary protective cognition. It is argued, that humans have an innate cognition to suspect others that cannot be seen, or are just out of sight, in their vicinity, as it would be better to suspect someone that cannot be seen and be wrong, than to be unaware and vulnerable to attack. This type of thought process, or cognition, is explained to be an evolutionary basis for the concept of God and other unseen spiritual phenomena. |

This is a ‘currently in a state of continuous development' part of the site. The topics raised here are not extensive, complete, nor fully reflective of the amount of information to follow. This is a vast subject - there is so much to discuss and attend to, it is perhaps best to start and allow it to grow. If there are any opinions or interests that do not yet appear to be included, please contact us: contact@spiritualsistersanctuary.com, we are interested to hear your insights and thoughts. |
